- Dave Erickson anchors KXLY4 News at 5 and 6 with Robyn Nance Monday through Friday. Dave joined KXLY4 in 2007 but is not stranger to the Inland Northwest. He attended Spokane Community College and graduated from Washington State University. A Pacific Northwest native, Dave grew up in Vancouver, Washington. He got his news broadcasting start at KNDU, the NBC affiliate in Kennewick, Washington.
Dave has more than 12 years of experience as an anchor and reporter in several markets, including Portland, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Honolulu. Before working in broadcast journalism, Dave hosted and produced an educational program for the Evergreen School District in his hometown of Vancouver called "Homework Helpline." While at KOIN-TV in Portland, he created and produced "Project Education," a weekly news show that focused on local educational issues and stories from area school districts.
With recent trips to Caribbean, Italy and Australia, Dave has become hooked on travel. Future plans include trips to Central and South America and destinations unknown throughout the Inland Northwest. In his free time, Dave stays very busy. When he's not chasing around his dog Lexy, he's playing soccer, golfing or training for triathlons. He completed his first ever Ironman race in Coeur D'Alene on June 22, 2008.
