Obama tells staffers ’start preparing my transition to the White House’
Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama must be able to tell the future. He’s already acting as if he’s won the presidency. Fresh off his tour to Europe (which seemed like a victory tour), Obama is leading in most national polls. But his lead is no where near safe. According to the Washingon Post, Obama and his Democratic colleagues, already believe he has won:
-Traffic was shut down for him as he zoomed about Washington, D.C. Tuesday in a long, presidential-style motorcade, while the public and most of the press were kept in the dark about his activities.
-He arrived at the House chamber early for a session with lawmakers, preferring to sit in the Cannon Caucus Room (where presidents wait to give their State of the Union address)
-While he was escorted to the room for his meeting, Capitol Police cleared the halls — just as they do for the actual president.
-While in that meeting, he reportedly told lawmakers ”This is the moment . . . that the world is waiting for,” adding: “I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions.”
-He proclaimed today “the odds of us winning are very good.”
-He has reportedly told staffers to begin planning his transition to the White House.
-After meeting with the new Prime Minister of Pakistan, he had the arrogance to say, as if he were the President-Elect, “I had a productive and wide-ranging discussion. . . . I look forward to working with the democratically elected government of Pakistan.”
Obama’s apparent ego has become such a problem, reporters say he’s “acting like the Prom Queen.” Maybe someone forgot to tell President Obama there’s an election this November. Arrogance is never a good thing, but this is turning into more than that.
What do you think?

Mmmmm…humility will get you a long way. Arrogance is not pretty on anyone. We do not have a throne in this country for him to perch upon. Perhaps he has forgotton that the president works for us, as have all the legislators and congressmen in office today.
LOL! “Arrogance”? Well, the “elitist” epithet didn’t work for them, so maybe they’ll have better luck with this one. But I doubt it. I wonder what they’ll try on him next…
‘Elitist’ works just fine, as does ‘arrogant’. They’ll continue to proclaim that which Obama has made manifest. He’s really, really big on Obama…and absolutely empty on experience. You woudlnt’ know this to hear him speak, though, would you?
He is a well spoken, eloquent twit. As Benjamin Franklin once said, ‘Here comes the orator! With is flood of words and his drop of reason’. Sheesh.
Anyone who has followed the substance of this egomaniac’s career rather than the sycophant national media love-fest is not surprised in the slightest. His almost complete lack of ANY national accomplishment is at such variance with the coverage he has received that those of us who remember J. Carter and the very real double-digit inflation and twenty-plus percent interest rates that resulted from our last national flirtation with a completely unqualified candidate who spent an entire campaign on empty platitudes about class warfare and no energy on finding real-world solutions. One of these times, we are going to “drink the kool-aid” from one too many of these empty suits and find ourselves in a real Depression, complete with FOOD lines, 20-30% unemployment, and wholesale bank failures. If you think these are remote possibilities, you have completely failed to learn the lessons of history and human nature to the point that you are an imminent personal danger to the next generation.
And of course, if Europe had any stinking clue about what makes America work, they would clean up their society’s permanently impoverished — the natural end result of runaway government entitlements. It is of no consequence to a nation’s generosity that money’s are appropriated by politicians, for politicians for generosity requires that the giving be voluntary by the individual. By definition, governmental spending is not voluntary and carries ZERO moral content; instead it is simply compliance with a spendthrift government.
You forgot to include “fear”, Colleen. After all, fear *is* the native language of the GOP, since they love to incite that feeling in the public, and it’s about all they have going for them in this race for the White House.
All hail the second coming of the Messiah!
I guess you people would feel better having Grandpa MCCain move his wheel chair into the White House. The Right Wing wackos in this country have come close to destroying it and wont be happy till they see a mushroom cloud in every town in America.
“Odds of us winning are very good”. What part of that says I’m In? Sounds like reality to me. The odds ARE good (but not cut in stone) that he will win. Why does everybody take things out of context?
