About
Everyone has a story to tell and the Internet makes it easy to reach a global audience to share thoughts and feelings about the world around us. blogs.kxly.com aims to tell those stories and give the community a forum to share and communicate with one another about the issues and concerns of the day.
The latest incarnation of the KXLY blogging community, blogs.kxly.com has its roots in a single blog started in February of 2006 when KXLY4 News sent news and sports crews to Detroit to cover the Seattle Seahawks playing the Pittsburgh Steelers in Superbowl XL.
Since then we’ve had a number of our reporters, producers and managers in the newsroom play a role in sharing their thoughts about the news, life in the Inland Northwest and talking with the community about their concerns in a thoughtful dialog.
With the newest incarnation of blogs.kxly.com we’ve kicked things up a notch. In addition to giving our blogs a major makeover, we realize that the days of ‘Make us your homepage’ are long over. People no longer surf the web like grazers but rather they are hunters and gatherers, hopping from site to site to get the information they want, where they want. So we’ve added feeds of news headlines from Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Western, Central and Eastern Washington and Canada to help you skim and select the stories you want to find out more details on wherever you are.
KXLY wouldn’t exist without the community we serve on-air and online with the latest news and information about the Inland Northwest, so we’ve also created a special category called Notes from the Blogosphere where we’re keeping a running blogroll and aggregating the latest entries from bloggers all across the region. If you’d like to be added to our blog feed, check out our FAQ for more information.
Thank you for stopping by blogs.kxly.com. If you have any questions about the site, please check out our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy or if you would like to speak to someone about your concerns or suggestions please feel free to contact our site administrator, Rob Kauder, at robk@kxly.com.
