What My Sister Did!

Growing up, I was considered the family athlete. Now, my sister has stolen the title, completing her first ever triathlon in Coeur d’Alene last month.

I’m so proud of her, proud of her for multiple reasons. One, because she’s never been a competitive athlete. She started working out in a gym a few years ago and her friend convinced her to train for this thing.

Two, because a triathlon is initmidating. I was intimidated just walking up to watch the thing. Svelt, cut men who compete in these things all across the world were coming out of the water in their wet suits before my sister had even started. It takes courage to join a race like that.

Three, because she accomplished something huge. She put her mind to it, worked hard and finished with a smile on her face.

I love my sister and I love what she did. Can’t wait to cheer her on in her next race.
