Fridge

In my never-ending quest for DIY projects for Good Morning Northwest, I stumbled upon one that I’m going to use in my own home.

Don’t get me wrong… I usually pick projects that I’m generally intersted in. But I also consider that we have a very eclectic audience and not everyone has the same taste as me.

Some weeks the projects are VERY cool, but would I do it in my spare time? No. However, I know there are viewers out there that would.

But I digress… my point is that I really like this one.

I went to Value Villiage (which I remember Kalae saying was the most expensive of the Thrift Stores, haha) and picked up a few frames. I ignored the colors and went for design because ultimately I knew I was going to spray paint them whatever color matched my kitchen.

Each frame was $1.99.

Then I bought some craft glue, gold spray paint and magnets. Be sure to pay attention to the size and weight of the frame because you’ll want to by magnets that can support them.

The gold frame you see in the picture above? That frame ended up being too heavy for the three larger magnets I used. I don’t think any amount of magnets will keep that frame up on a fridge. However, the silver frame (which was made out of light-weight plastic) held up just fine with three magnets.

Have fun!
